EARRINGS WITH BROKEN SILVER PIECES

In this collection the artist worked exclusively with materials like the highest grade sterling silver and 22ct gold.
She used artisanal details with hand-filed eyelets or wild setting stones cut from pure
gold or silver. The stones were passed retaining their natural texture, their „anomalies“ and vitality,
enhancing Julia Zimmermann`s work with a substantial dose of „soul“, giving her creations a life of their own.
By incorporating long silhouettes and flowing transitions the necklaces and earrings evoke a sense of romantic contemplation.

Inspired by the music of iconic artists such as Patti Smith and David Bowie Julia toys with the idea of androgyny injecting a healthy dose of sensual elegance and glamourous „Rock `n Roll“ into her work.

The oxidation process ensures the defined contrasts of deep black tones and fine silver for an authentic vintage look that makes the pieces retain their timeless appearance.
